In Loving Memory Of

Jane Hunt Duncan

Jane Hunt Duncan, 67, of Abilene, TX and formerly of Burton, WV, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001 in an Abilene Medical Center.

She was born November 29, 1933 in Burton, WV a daughter of the late Garold and Freda Hamilton Hunt.

Mrs. Duncan was co-valedictorian of the Hundred High School Class of 1951.  She was a graduate of West Virginia University where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma and Delta Kappa Gamma, an Education Honorary.  Twenty four years ago, she moved from New Orleans, LA  to Abilene, TX.  She taught at St. John's School and Bonham Elementary where she was honored in 1998 as "Teacher of the Year".

She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene, TX.

Surviving are her husband, Don R. Duncan; six sons and daughter-in-laws, Jim and Michele Duncan of Thousand Oaks, CA, Pete and Rachel Duncan of Plano, TX, Hank Duncan of Abilene, TX, John Duncan of College Station, TX, Bill and Julie Duncan of Germantown, TN and Andy Duncan of Fort Worth, TX; a daughter and spouse, Suzanne and Bill Holloway of Fort Worth, TX; a brother and sister-in-law, Glen L. and Betty Jo Hunt of Siler City, NC; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Richard Hunt.
