In Loving Memory Of

George L. Six

George L. Six, 88, of Rush Run Community, Burton, WV died Sunday, September 9, 2001 at his residence.

He was born March 21, 1913 at Birchfield, WV a son of the late Silas A. and Rosie K. Amos Six.

Mr. Six began his working career as a farmer and he cut mine props, later he worked at a ship builder during World War II.  He ended his working career working in the oil and gas industry.  He retired as a pumper from Pennzoil with more than 21 years of service.

He was a member of the Earnshaw Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, Gerald Six of Fairmont, WV and George David and Drew Six of Niles, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Zula and Wayne Henderson of Burton, WV; four stepsons and spouses, Glenn Teagarden of Littleton, WV,   John and Judy Teagarden of Earnshaw,   Marcus and Loretta Teagarden of Wileyville and Garold Teagarden of Burton; one stepdaughter and spouse, Helen and Paul Buege of Fairmont; eleven grandchildren; thirteen step grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; seventeen step grandchildren;   two great-great grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Ashcraft of Pennsylvania and Jane Overton.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Hattie M. Henderson Six and his second wife, Mary Efaw Teagarden Six; a son Leslie Six; a brother, Samuel Six; and a daughter-in-law, Alice J. Shaffer Six.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Wednesday with Evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating.  Interment will follow in the Carpenter Cemetery near Earnshaw.
