In Loving Memory Of

James L. Taylor

James L. Taylor, 93, of Burton, WV died Monday, March 5, 2001 in the Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Facility.

He was born July 11, 1907 at Coburn, WV a son of the late LeRoy and Malinda Barr Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was self employed in the construction business, was formerly a Wetzel County Deputy Sheriff,  owned and operated the Hundred Milling Company and was a former employee of Bells Market.  He was a Methodist by faith and a World War II Veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving are one brother, Pershing R. Taylor of Hundred; three sisters, Dolly Hostutler of Hundred, Violet  Lambert of Charleston, WV  and Laura Anderson of Belle, WV;  several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Taylor, a step son, Forrest E. Davis, Jr.; five brothers, Harry W., Thomas J., Dewey, John and Sheridan Taylor; two sisters, Lucy Taylor and Chloe Clayton.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2001.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 8, 2001 with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery in Burton.
