In Loving Memory Of

Fay Cumberledge

Fay W. Cumberledge, 100, of Martinsville, VA (Spruce Village) formerly of the Wadestown area died Thursday, January 30, 2003 in the Beverly Health Care Center in Martinsville, VA.

Mrs. Cumberledge was born January 1, 1903 at Greensburg, PA a daughter of the late David Woolslayer and Alice Johnson Woolslayer.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Golden Glow Rebecca Lodge of Wadestown.  She was also a member of the Wadestown United Methodist Church.  In her early life she and her late husband operated a Good Gulf Gasoline Station on the Wadestown Pike for approximately 40 years.

Surviving are one son and spouse, Harold and Norma M. Cumberledge of Martinsville, VA; three grandaughters, Connie C. Sutton of Orlando, FL, Donna C. Miller of Greenville, SC and Sandra Heberer of Christiansburg, VA; and five great-grandsons.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford H. Cumberledge; a son, Robert F. Cumberledge and a daughter, Alice Marie Simpson.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Saturday.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with Rose Saunders officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wadestwon United Methodist Church, % Wilma Elliott, Treasurer, Rt. 1, Box 85, Burton, WV 26562
