Virginia L. Hibbs

Virginia Lee Prendergast Hibbs, 75, of Hundred, WV died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 in the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.

Mrs. Hibbs was born February 16, 1928 at Ned, PA a daughter of the late Issac and Nona Gump.

She was a homemaker and she attended the Church of Christ.

Surviving are three sons and spouses, Sherrel and Darlene Prendergast, Mike and Thelma Prendergast and Marcus Prendergast all of Hundred; four grandchildren, Rebecca Prendergast, Steven Prendergast, Jerry Prendergast and fiance, Rhonda Morgan and Tasha Greathouse; four step-grandchildren and spouses, David and Pat Long, Gerald and Wendy Church, Steve and Lisa Hegedis and Douglas Church; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Kay Johnson of New Freeport, PA, Meryle Gump of New Martinsville Health Care Center, New Martinsville and Norma June Stevens of Mannington; two brothers, Burl Gump and Fred Gump both of New Freeport, PA; half sister, Margaret Miller of Littleton; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Pendergast; sisters, Audrey Jean Gump, Faye McLaughlin; brothers, James Gump, Homer Gump, George Gump, and Walter Gump; a step-granddaughter, Tammy Church.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 3-5 and 7-9 PM Friday.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM  Saturday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery, Ned, PA.
