NONA V DRAKE

Nona V. Chisler Drake, 75, of Kingmont, WV formerly of Daybrook, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 in the Arbors at Fairmont nursing home.

She was born November 9, 1928 at Daybrook a daughter of the late Stacy and Ethel Marie Moore Chisler. Mrs. Drake was a retired packer from Owens-Illinois Glass Factory in Fairmont, having worked for the company for over 25 years. She was a member of the Kingmont United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Kingmont Homemakers Club.

She was an avid bowler and bowled in the leagues associated with Owens-Illinois. She loved crafts, needle work and crocheting.

Surviving are a son & daughter-in-law, Michael A. & Linda Haught of Daybrook; two step-daughters, Anna Dunkle of Clarksburg and Linda Godwin of Morgantown; one sister, Rachel Lewis of Daybrook; two grandchildren & spouses, Chris & Tracie Haught of Fairmont and Melinda & Paul Korsh of Farmington; one great-grandaughter, Morgan JoyceAnn Haught; five step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Drake, Jr. who died on July 7, 1984; two brothers, Joe D. Chisler and Jimmy Faye Chisler; three sisters, Dema Gump, Margaret Stewart, and Lena Shriver; and one step-daughter, Barbara Vangilder.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM Friday with the Rev. John Coffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
