In Loving Memory Of

NELLE P MURPHY

Nelle P. Murphy, 92, of Littleton, WV died Friday, July 23, 2004 in the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 19, 1912 in Greene County, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late James and Eva J. Null Murphy. In 1918 she moved to West Virginia with her family.

Miss Murphy was a retired school teacher of the Wetzel County School System, having taught at Littleton, Paden City, Magnolia, and Hundred High School. She was a member of the Assumption of Mary Catholic Church and it's Altar and Rosary Society. A charter member of the VWF Ladies Auxillary Post 8l78 of Littleton.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews including, Wilma Marie Morris of Reader and Dennis Murphy of Littleton, who were both raised by Miss Murphy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Murphy, Mary Bish, and Eva Jane Murphy; six brothers, Joseph Murphy, James Murphy, William Murphy, Arthur Murphy, Edward Murphy, and Lawrence Murphy, and a niece Elizabeth Johnson.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-9 PM Sunday. A wake will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 PM Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday in the Assumption Catholic Church in Littleton with the Father Don Higgs officiating. Interment will follow in the Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery at Littleton. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donors choice or to the Hundred-Littleton Alumni Association Scholarship Fund %Hundred High School PO Box, Hundred, WV 26575.
