HASKELL D. TENNANT

Haskell D. Tennant, 92, of Wadestown, WV died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born September 8, 1916 at Crossroads, a son of the late Harry Tennant and Bertha Liming Tennant.

Mr. Tennant was a member of the Liming Ridge Church of Christ. He was retired from Westinghouse where he worked as a guard.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Maxine Rinehart Tennant; a son, Richard Tennant of Aliquippa, PA; two daughters, Judith Ammons of Wana, and Janet and her husband Gary Shriver of Daybrook; a sister, Mary Woodruff and her husband Encil of Wadestown; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ogerette Yost and a great-grandson, Cody Shriver.

Friends and family may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Saturday with the Evangelist Earl P. Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennant Cemetery at Pentress.
