EDGAR "BUD" SEAMAN
Edgar D. "Bud" Seaman, 82, of
Miracle Run Community left this world on September 2, 2014 at home surrounded by
He was born April 9, 1932 at Pentress,
WV, a son of the late Othello "Red" and Hazel Hamilton Seaman.
Mr. Seaman passed away fighting ALS
(Lou Gehrig's Disease) which he has had for 2 years.
Bud attended Clay-Battelle High School.
He was a core driller with Mott's
Drilling Company for 38 years.
On September 16, 1950 he married Lora
L. Kinsey in Oakland, Maryland. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2002.
He loved the WVU Mountaineers, fishing,
and going to camp in the smoke hole area. He especially loved spending time with
his grandchilren and great-grandchildren.
Survivings are three sons and their
spouses, Rick D. Seaman and his wife Becky of Brave, PA, Roger L. Seaman and his
wife Carmel M. of Daybrook, and Edgar D. "Rusty" Seaman of Jakes Run;
one son-in-law, Ricky Wilson of Jakes Run; seven grandchildren, Angie &
Albert Haught of Jakes Run, Casey & John McCord of Jakes Run, Terry L.
Seaman of Morgantown, Tim & Amanda Seaman of Morgantown, Brian K. Wilson of
Jakes Run, Doug N. Wilson of Core, Jenny L. Frye of Jakes Run; ten
great-grandchildren, Austin & Roger Haught, Kirstin & Kimbrie McCord,
Caleb Seaman, Nick Wilson, and Kaylea, Lillian, Tommy, and Alex Frye; two
sisters, Mildred Parker and Jean Tuttle both of Crossroads; one brother &
sister-in-law, Bill Seaman and his wife Amy of Core; and many nieces and
In addition to his parents and his wife
he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy K. Wilson; a grandson, Benji N.
Wilson; and "Doby" his fishing buddy and beloved dog.
The family would like to thank Hospice
Care Corp. of Arthurdale, WV. The family greatly appreciated all of the staff
and nurses for the help that they gave to Bud during his illness.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely
Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-9
PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00
AM Friday with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Interment will follow
in the Brewer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has
requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care Corp., PO Box 760,
Arthurdale, WV 26520 in Edgar's memory.
