PAULINE M. TENNANT
Pauline (Polly) M. Brewer Tennant: We
bid so long to "Polly" known to all in the Cassville area and for
miles beyond as the witty, mischievous prankster at Tennant's Service Station in
Cassville for over 50 years. After giving the dreadful alzheimers a frightful
battle it consumed the twinkle in her eyes and she has closed them to worry no
She was a member of the Cassville
Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxillary and worked diligently for the
department for years.
Pauline Tennant, 84, of Cassville, WV
died May 5, 2014 at home with her family by her side.
She was born January 7, 1930 in
Mooresville, a daughter of the late Elsie Brewer and Goldie Varner Brewer.
Surviving are two sons, Ronnie Tennant
of Core and Dave Tennant of Cassville; one daughter, Bonnie Evanoff of
Cassville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother and one
sister, several nieces and nephews and a special friend Mike Henderson of Core.
In addition to her parents she was
preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Tennant, one brother, and a
granddaughter, Tammy Smith.
The family would like to thank all of
the friends and neighbors who have helped in any way with Polly's care, and a
special thanks to Shirley Hegedis, Sharon Willard, Mike Henderson for years of
his dedication, and granddaughter, Britney Tennant for spending so much of her
time helping with such thoughtfulness and love.
At the request of the deceased her body
will be cremated.
There will be no visitation or funeral
Private inurnment of the cremains will
be held at the convenience of the family.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in
Blacksville is in charge of the arrangements.
