In Loving Memory Of
Darlene Norris, 85, of New Martinsville, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 in the
New Martinsville Health Care Center.
She was born September 6, 1931 at Wileyville, a daughter of the late Carl
Hartwig and Phoebe J. Dulaney Hartwig Palmer.
Mrs. Norris was a former member of the United Emergency Unit in Hundred where
she worked as an EMT for many years.
Darlene was a member of the Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are seven daughters, Frana Rose of Paden City, Diana Postlethwait of
Knob Fork, Beverly Cisar of New Martinsville, Marilyn Kennedy, Adair Wood, Trina
Hollabaugh, and Devona Reed all of Knob Fork; one step-brother, William Palmer
of Ohio; two sisters, Carlene Lemasters of Stephen City, VA and Yvonne “Sue”
Moore of Alliance, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-eight
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudyard K.
Norris; one son, Elliott K. Norris; one brother, Gene Hartwig; and one grandson,
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the
Wileyville Cemetery, Wileyville, WV with the Rev. Elizabeth Carson officiating.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
