In Loving Memory Of

Todd Allen Bane

 

Todd Allen Bane, 47 of Crossroads Road, Fairview, WV passed away at 2:45 a.m. on May 12, 2017. He was surrounded by his mom and two sisters as he dealt with complications from Huntington’s Disease which took his life. Todd was born in Taylor Michigan on January 12, 1970. He graduated from Clay-Battelle High School in 1988. Todd worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Todd had two great passions in life; Coaching Clay-Battelle Jr. Wrestling which he did for several years and he LOVED Steeler Football.

Todd is survived by his only daughter, Raven Samone Tennant whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his siblings Bill Hagler and his wife Cheryl of South Carolina; Tammy Bane Howard and her husband Marcus of Virginia; Tim Bane and his wife Billie Jo of Crossroads, WV; Scott Bane and his fiancée Carolyn Cumberledge of North Carolina; Jeff Bane and his fiancée Delsie Damron Stupp of Morgantown, WV; Jessie Hinerman of North Carolina; Ellen Lemley of North Carolina; and William (Billy) Hinerman and his wife Holly of Blacksville, WV. He is also survived by his mom Deloris M. Bane of North Carolina and two Aunts Nancy Corey-Sassak and Kismet Vincent.

Also surviving Todd are several nieces and nephews including Bobby, Danyele, Derek, Devin, Whitney, Gabrielle, Elijah, Jessica, Josh, Paxton, Zack, Davida, Hunter, Willow, Tanner, Ryder, Brandi, Amber, Katlyn, Anna, and Alissa. Todd also has 17 great nephews and nieces.

Preceding him in death are his mother Betty Lou Corey and his grandparents, Daisy A. Harris and Junior Bane and Andrew and Anna Corey.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America at 505 Eighth Avenue/Suite 902, New York, NY 10018 or at hdsainfo@hdsa.org. You are also requested to support members of the family on Saturday, May 20th at 8:30 a.m. for the West Virginia Team Hope Walk for Huntington’s at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown.

Family and friends will be received at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894, Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-8 PM Wednesday.  Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM with Pastor Drew Reveal officiating.  Following the services his request for cremation will be honored.
