In Loving Memory Of


            Willa Price, 82, of the Daybrook Community, went to be with her Lord on April 24, 2017 at her residence.

            She was born October 4, 1934, at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Ora “Sunshine” Tennant and Alice McCord Tennant.

            Mrs. Price was retired from West Virginia University where she worked at the towers as an area manager.  She was a member of the Jakes Run Assembly of God.  She was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School in the class of 1952.

            Surviving are her husband, Charles Price; children, Virginia “Ginny” Swaney of Smithfield, PA, Bruce (Vicki) Mort of Daybrook, Richard (Pam Chesney) Price of Daybrook, and Amelia “Millie” (Jack) Williams of Jakes Run; three sisters, Mary Tennant of Wellsburg, Deloris “Duke” Barr of Daybrook, Patricia (Jim) Miller of Shiloh, Ohio, one brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne “Butch” (Mary Ann) Tennant of Daybrook; nine grandchildren, Joe Mercer (Judy Jones) of Daybrook, Bambi Lipscomb (Johnny) of Morgantown, Bruce Lee Mort (Bethaney Workman) of Daybrook, Bobby Wilson of Morgantown, Nina Watson (Matt) of Hundred, Justin Swaney  (Davon) of Smithfield, PA, Chris Wilson of Fairmont, James Wilson of Fairmont, and Shaina Price (Jerry Mankins) of Daybrook; seven great-grandchildren, Brayden Mort, Landen Workman, McKenzie & Nevaeh Watson, Gavin & Liam Lipscomb, Bryer Swaney, and two more on the way; three sisters-in-laws, Brenda Towns (John) of Cassville, Opal Price of Wadestown, and Judy Price of Fairview; and many nieces and nephews.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-laws, Jack Tennant and Leroy “Buck” Barr, and a son-in-law, Dan Swaney.

            Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-8 PM Wednesday, and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday.  Funeral services will be held in the Jakes Run Assembly of God at 11:00 AM Fridaywith Pastor Rob Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
