TIMOTHY STEELE CLOVIS

          Timothy Steele Clovis, 72, of Crossroads passed away on April 13, 2024 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, surrounded by his family.

          He was born on June 27, 1951 in Fairmont, a son of the late Fred Clovis and June Steele Clovis.

          Tim was a retired coal miner for the Blacksville #2 coal mine which he had been at for 41 years.  Tim attended Bula Baptist Church and Truth Assembly Chapel.

          Over the years at any given time, you could find him and his brother Rod together either wood working or antiquing.  Most days Tim spent time with his blessed family, who he loved so dear.

          Tim was a decorated artist being featured at the Tamarack, the Appalachian Art Gallery, the Monongalia Art Gallery, and multiple year winner of “Best in Show” at WVU’s Mountaineer Week.

          Tim was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Patricia Cowell Clovis on February 6, 2015; his adored sister, Mary Jane Clovis; and his mother and father-in-law, Albert (Bo) and Mildred (Mickey) Cowell.

          He is survived by two sons and their spouses, Jeremy Clovis (Wendy), Joshua Clovis (Chastity); two daughters and their spouses, Chelsa Hagedorn (Kevin) and Hillary Clovis (Kristin); eleven grandchildren, Adia Kolb (El), Gable Kolb (Kas), Khya Barker (Dustin), Cooper Clovis, Bo Clovis, Burke Clovis, Hudsyn Clovis, Briggs Clovis, Harmony Clovis, Canyon Clovis, and Brooks Clovis; and one great-grandson, Miles Barker; one brother, Rodney A. Clovis (Willie); nieces and nephews, Clint Clovis, Chris Clovis (Alberta) and Robin Wade (Chris); and three great nieces and nephews, Abigale Clovis, Jessica Salo, and Zachary Clovis; and one great-great niece, Naomi Jane; and many close friends that were considered family.

          Friends may call at the Truth Assembly Chapel near Wadestown on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held in the church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 17, 2024,  with Pastor Jason Morgan and Pastor Drew Reveal officiating.  Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
