NELLIE JOHNSON

          Nellie Johnson, 87, of Jakes Run, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at her residence.

          Mrs. Johnson was born December 23, 1935 at Trader Run in Wetzel County.  She was a daughter of the late Wilford H. Trader and Nellie E. Hayhurst Trader.

          Nellie was a member of the Church of Christ.  Mrs. Johnson was a former employee of the Morgantown Shirt Factory many years ago.

          Surviving is her sister, Phyllis J. Johnson of Jakes Run, and many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Dusty.

          She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack J. Johnson; one sister, Helen L. Johnson, and three brothers, Glen D. “Chub” Trader, Jack Trader, and Mike Trader.

          Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 10:00 AM until the time of the graveside service as 12:00 Noon at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.  The visitation and services will be on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
