EDNA LORRAINE SHRIVER
Edna Lorraine Shriver, 89, of Blacksville, WV died Friday, March 31, 2023.
She was born May 13, 1933 at Wadestown, a daughter of the late Jasper Bean and Edna Thomas Bean.
Lorraine worked at many different jobs during her lifetime. She worked at the Blacksville Post Office, Miller Building Supply, United Electric Company, and operated her own ceramic shop in her home for many years.
She attended both Methodist and Baptist Churches in the area.
Surviving is one daughter and her husband, Debra and Darrell Bane of Mooresville; one brother, Norman Bean, of Providence Forge, VA; two grandchildren, Darrell E. Bane and Kelly Jo Simmons; four great-grandchildren, Darriann Parlett, Daulston Smith, Lyndsee Penichet, and Kelsee Wright; and three great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Parlett, Maverick Parlett, and Eleanor Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold K. “Pete” Shriver, who died on April 12, 1997.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 3, 2023. Funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Lay Servant D. J. Utt officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
