LYLE RAY MILLER

        Lyle Ray Miller, 76, of Core, WV died Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his residence.

        He was born August 14, 1946 at Morgantown, a son of the late Oliver Miller and Eva Belle Weber Miller.

        Mr. Miller was a retired coal miner having worked at various mines in the area.  He was a United States Marines veteran having served in Vietnam.

        He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, American Legion Post #175 in Washington, PA, VFW Post 927 in Washington, PA, and Morgantown Moose Lodge #264.  He was a methodist by faith.

        Surviving is his wife, Myrtle Sine Miller; two sons and their wives, Stephen Miller and his wife Shea of Lake City, Florida and Scott Miller and his wife Kandy of Augusta, Georgia; one sister, Linda Rogers of Amity PA; four grandchildren, Dylan Miller, Isabel Miller, Oliver Miller, and Juliana Miller; and two step-grandchildren, Kelsey Wiley and Chad Wiley.

        In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leland Miller and Larry Miller.

        At Lyle’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral services.

        The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blackville is in charge of arrangements.
