KIMBERLY H. MCDIFFITT

          Kimberly Hope McDiffitt, 54, of Burton, WV left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

          She was born November 7, 1968 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Ronnie Hostuttler and the late Kathryn Spragg Hostuttler of Knob Fork, WV.

          Surviving is her father, Ronnie Hostuttler, of Knob Fork; husband Bill McDiffitt of Burton; children, son, Jesse McDiffitt of Burton, son, Joshua (Brittany) McDiffitt of New Martinsville; daughter, Jenna McDiffitt of Mannington; five grandchildren, Kinsley, Jade, Oaklynn, Jeffrey, and Ila McDiffitt, all of New Martinsville.  She also leaves three brothers, Trevor (Sherri) Hostuttler and Dale (Elizabeth) Hostuttler, both of Knob Fork, and Jonathan Stewart of Seattle, Washington; and two sisters, Tracy Shriver of Hundred and Lucy Hostuttler of Charleston.

          Kimberly also leaves behind her Aunt Janice and Uncle Ray Hostuttler of Knob Fork, Uncle Roger and Aunt Shirley Spragg of Kodol, and her best friend, Cindy Henderson Woodbury of Maryland; her beloved sisters and brothers in law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

          She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn and son, Christopher McDiffitt.

          Kimberly was a proud graduate of Hundred High School in the class of 1987 and earned a Bible degree from Marietta Bible College in 1997.  She was also a lifelong 4-H’er, 4-H All Star, and served many years on the 4-H camp staff at the county and state level  .

          She enjoyed the various jobs she was employed in over her lifetime.  She especially enjoyed working as a secretary for her family’s lifelong friend, Joe Littlell, of J & R Littell, Inc.

          Over the span of 30 years Kim was also a Children’s ministry worker.  She taught Sunday School, Children’s Church and served in the bus ministry.  Kimberly felt blessed to share her love for Christ and bring the gospel to children.

          The family would like to thank the wide circle of family and friends that stepped up to help during Kimberly’s illness, as well as the doctors and chemo nurses at Allegheny Health Network.

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with Pastor Trevor Hostuttler officiating.
