Debra Kay Myers Gum, 57, of Wadestown, WV passed away suddenly at her home on September 8, 2023. She was born May 14, 1966. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister who cherished her family deeply. A kind soul to anyone she met. She treated everyone she encountered with kindness and love as if she had known them their whole lives. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she enjoyed spending time watching them grow up. She spent many evenings at home with her long-time partner, Mark and her beloved dog Sparky.
Debbie is survived by her children; son James “Petey” Catalogna of Wadestown; daughter, Jessica (Joe Swiger) Gum of Fairview; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Hudson, and Caleb; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Gum; partner, Lee Marshall “Mark” Skinner; her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Following the services her body will be cremated.
