GEORGE W. MARTYN
George Wesley Martyn, 86 of Granville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio. George was born on August 13, 1937 in Millstone, West Virginia to the late Albert F. Martyn and Madge B. Roe Martyn. George was a longtime member of the Reynoldsburg Baptist Church. He retired with the rank of Sergeant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was a proud U. S. Army Veteran.
George is survived by sons Brad (Michelle) Martyn, Brian (Diane) Martyn, and Randy (Robin) Martyn. He also leaves nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean Martyn.
A graveside service will be held at the Anderson-Bethel Cemetery near Littleton, WV on December 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV is in charge of local arrangements.
