RICHARD ALLEN WOOD

          Richard Allen Wood, 82, of Hephzibah, Georgia died November 30, 2023 at his residence.

          Richard was born in Deep Valley, Pennsylvania, but spent much of his life in Lake Milton, Ohio and Hephzibah, Georgia.  He worked in the steel mills then attended Youngstown State University where he acquired a degree in nursing.  He worked as a registered nurse in Warren, Ohio and most recently in Georgia Regional where he retired.

          He will forever be missed and remembered by his family members which include his daughters:  Christine Penza (Bob), Darla McLain (Mike); grandchildren, Marcus Penza (Meredith), Dante Penza (Payton), Nick Penza, Sydney McLain, Jadyn McClain; brother, Kenneth Woods and former wife, Jennie Wood (mother of his daughters).  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Wood and Juanita Wood, grandmother, Emma Wood, and brother, Larry Woods (Marie).

          The funeral service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV   26575 with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.  Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery at Ned, PA.
