Ruby June Tennant, 85, of Jakes Run Road, Mooresville Community, passed away at home on Thursday, August 25, 2011.
She was born December 22, 1925 at Daybrook, the daughter of the late Patrick Yost and Ida Jeanette Pethtel Yost.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, William Robert Tennant; three children, Patty Eddy and husband Randy of Jakes Run, Jill Smith and husband Joel of Jakes Run, and Mark Tennant and wife Kathy of Daybrook; eight grandchildren; Shawn Eddy, Holly Hess and husband Joe, Hailey Snyder, Robby Tennant, Zach Tennant, Shane Smith, Lucas Smith, and Chloe Smith; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Hess, Colin Hess, and Kinlee Hess; two sisters, Betty Sutphin of Pittsburgh, PA and Jean Stiles of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester Poe, Joe, Rich, Perry, and Robert Yost.

Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the Mooresville Church of Christ.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 PM Sunday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
