Anna Margaret (Peg) Strosnider Moore, 80, of Daybrook Road, Fairview, WV died Monday September 20, 2004 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born May 11, 1924 at Blacksville, a daughter of the late Michael Leslie Strosnider and Florence Ursula Dodge Strosnider.

Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School. She worked at Bells Market in Blacksville until she married her late husband on June 15, 1946. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, knitting, crocherty, baking, crosswords puzzles, swimming, reading, and gardening.

She had the tenacity to work and overcome any handicap life presented. She was "The Queen" of the family with a very quick wit.

She was baptized and attended the Blacksville United Methodist Church for many years. She was a 20 year member of the West Virginia Farm Bureau.

Surviving are three daughters and son-in-laws, Janet & Aaron Fisher of Woodbridge, VA, Barbara & Ernest Rack of Daybrook, and Pat & Bernard Cotton of Palenville, NY; seven grandchildren, Suzanne Rowe, Cristie Johnson, Melanie Johnson, Cynthia Salisbury, Jessica Rack, Amanda Rack, and Matthew Cotton; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin Sampson, Ryan Sampson, and Thomas Rosales-Mendoza.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold Jesse Moore who died on April 21, 2001; and one brother, Walter "Pinky" Leslie Strosnider.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. David Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Lemley Cemetery.
