Bonnie Jo DeVine, of Daybrook, passed away Sunday February 27, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Fairview on January 14, 1932, the youngest child of Lonnie C. Henderson and Berta G. Wetzel Henderson.

Bonnie, along with her husband Rip, owned and operated an Amoco Service Station from 1956-1972. During this time, she also contributed to the community through PTA projects and the Daybrook Fair Association. In her later years, she managed the accounts for various family ventures.

Through the years, Bonnie enjoyed family vacations, camping, reading, and her passion for fishing. She loved preparing meals from her array of cook books and spending time with her family and friends.

Bonnie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 62 years, Wilford "Rip" DeVine; three daughters, Donna and Merle Varner of Pentress, Pam and Bruce Arnett of Jakes Run, Jodie and Jeff Shriver of Daybrook; seven grandchildren, Dina Varner of Pentress, Kip (Kami) Varner of Stephens City, VA, Brady Arnett of Pittsburgh, PA, Mindy and Marsha Arnett of Jakes Run, and Taylor and Madison Shriver of Daybrook; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas and Logan Varner, and Aubrey Layne Varner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth, her sister, Norma, a brother-in-law, Thayer Stewart, and nephews, Stephen and Michael Stewart. Her loving grandson, Cody Lane Shriver, passed in April of 2007, and "grandma" missed him very much.

The family would like to acknowledge Debbie, Wilda, Kelly, and Martha with "a very special thank you".

Friends will be received at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
