CAROL L. CROSS

          Carol L. Cross, 82, of Gainsville, VA, formerly of the Hundred area died Monday, April 3, 2023 in the Gainesville Health and Rehab Center, just one day short of her 83rd birthday.

          She was born April 4, 1940 at Hundred, WV, a daughter of the late Rolley S. Moore and Margaret V. Lemley Moore.

          Mrs. Cross was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Sancho Church of Christ.

          Surviving are two daughters, Janice Carol Moore of Yuma, Arizona and Sonya Johnson of Carmichaels, PA; three sisters, Elizabeth Taylor of Moundsville, Mary Hammel of Yuma, Arizona, and Sara Fernie of Carefree, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cross; two brothers, Jack Moore and Rolley Moore, Jr.; and four sisters, Lela Lemley, Katheryn Mackenson, Betty Wells, and Elaine Shaffer.

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from Noon to 2:00 PM on Friday, April 7, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton, WV.
