Dorothy M. Hunt, 93, of Burton, WV died Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Minerva Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Minerva, Ohio.
She was born October 26, 1923 at Blackfoot, Idaho, the daughter of the late Marion Mundhenk and Mary Ryman Mundhenk.
She lived in Troy, Ohio for 20 years and was employed there by Hobart Manufacturing Company.
The remainder of her life was spent in the Burton area.She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church for more than 50 years as served as Sunday School Teacher and church treasurer.She was a 4-H leader and president in both Hundred and Burton.Dorothy was a member of the Augusta Chapter #6 Order of the Eastern Star of Mannington.She served as a dispatcher for the United Emergency Unit in Hundred and was a member on the board of directors for the Community Health Center in Burton.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Crawford and his wife Julia, Florida; Doug Hunt and his companion Charylene St. Clair of Burton; one daughter, Sheila Shahan of Minerva, OH; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Hunt, and one brother Karl Mundhenk.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PMThursday, July 13, 2017.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday with Pastor Jason Sleeth officiating.Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton, WV.
