Jacob Randy “Bug” Moore, 65, of Daybrook, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born March 1, 1952 in Fairmont General Hospital, a son of Rose Marie Moore of Daybrook and the late Ronnie B. Moore.
Randy “Bug” was a retired coal miner who worked at the Cumberland Mine in Kirby, PA. He retired with 40 years of service.
Mr. Moore was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School, class of 1970. He attended Glenville State College and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies and Physical Education and was a member of TKE.
Randy participated in Civil War Reenactments. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the National Rifle Association. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gun collecting.
Bug was survived by his wife, Debbie Moore to whom he had been married for 40 years; a brother and his wife, Russ Moore and wife Lisa Moore of Canonsburg, PA; two daughters, Kellie Moore and Reagan Moore both of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Brittany and Alexis; one great-grandson, Brody Jacob; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Sanjay Bharti, and the 6th floor nursing and clinical staff at Monongalia General Hospital for their love and support shown to Randy and his family.
Friends may call at the Noah’s Ark Assembly of God Church in Fairview from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Delas Stuzen officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore Cemetery near Daybrook.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
