JOHN DAVID SMITH

          John David Smith, 78, of Hundred, WV died Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV.

          He was born February 24, 1944 at Burton, WV, a son of the late John Franklin Smith and Kate Henderson Smith.

          John was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways where he had worked for many years as a laborer.

          He was a member of the Sancho Church of Christ.

          Surviving are two brothers and their spouses, Robert Smith and his wife Carol of New Cumberland and William Smith and his wife Charlene of Burton; and several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-sister, Bonnie Clark; one niece, Lisa Ann Smith; and one nephew, Charles Edward Gartner.

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service hour on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Evangelist Dick Bartrug officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery near Ned, PA.
