We rejoice in the heavenly homegoing of Laura June (Higgins) Pettit, who passed from this earth on September 24, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born May 27th, 1937. She was loved by everyone she met. Among Laura June's many accomplishments were, loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, church pianist, Bible teacher, and youth leader. She is a mother of four surviving children. Donald M. Pettit (Debra) of Brownsville, PA, Darlene F Rossi (Dino) of Charleston, SC, Marlene K Nolin (Douglas) of Claysville, PA, and David K Pettit (Rebecca) of Blacksville, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M Pettit Sr, father, John Higgins, and mother, Fern Foley. Five brothers, Walter, Leon, John David, Frank, and Phillip. Four sisters, Francis, Hattie, Rose, and Ruby. She is survived by one sister, Lucy (Genny) Wilson, of Heath, OH, eight grandchildren, Steven (Tricia) of Perryopolis, PA, Christina (Kevin) of Jefferson, PA, Laura (Jacob) of Fairmont, WV, Michelle (George) of Morgantown, WV, Antonia (Lee) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Faye (David) of Climax, NC, Eric (Tamara) of Pittsburgh, PA, Kelsey of Claysville, PA, and fourteen great grandchildren. There will be a private viewing.
