LURA JUANITA SHAFFER
Laura Juanita Shaffer, 75, of Moundsville, WV died Friday, January 27, 2023 at her residence after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born August 5, 1947, at Deep Valley, PA, a daughter of the late Wilbert Francis Shreve and Ora Belle Shafer Shreve.
Juanita worked as an LPN in various nursing homes and also cared for the elderly in their homes.
She had resided in Michigan for 32 years and returned to West Virginia in 2017.
Surviving is one son, Kevin Johnson of New Freeport; one daughter, Carmen Aberegg of Deep Valley; one sister, Arrahwanna McMasters of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Krista Aberegg, Aaron Hostutler, Kaleb Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Coltin Braun, Taylor Hostutler, and Alexis Hostutler; and a special niece/second daughter, Rhonda Piper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Shaffer in 2017; and two brothers, Ronald Shreve and Charles Shreve and a brother who died as an infant, Gerald Shreve.
Juanita will be cremated and there will be no services.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, WV is in charge of arrangements.
