Maxine Lambert, 84, of Hundred, WV died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born June 15, 1920 at Burton, WV a daughter of the late Andrew S. Rushford and Fannie Bartrug Rushford.
Mrs. Lambert was retired from Hundred High School where she worked as the secretary for many years. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church of Burton.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan Lambert of Hundred and Jeanne & Kenley Poling of Beaver Creek, Ohio; two grandsons, Jason Poling of Huntington, WV and Daniel Poling of Dayton, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Gary Kendall and wife Martha of Mannington, Robert Kendall and wife, Linda of Charleston, WV, Judy Hall and husband Randy of Kansas, and Vilas Allen Jr. of Chicago, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Lambert, who died on October 17, 1992; and two sisters, Louise Kendall and Helen Baker.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Saturday with the Pastor Linda Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
