Kenneth Lee Parrish, 89, of Wadestown, WV passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born June 8, 1934 in Seven Pines, WV, a son of the late Charles Kenneth and Audra Mae Batson Parrish. Ken served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in Germany. He worked 33 years for Columbia Gas, retiring as a heavy equipment operator.

RUBY ELLEN HEMMER

          Ruby Ellen Hemmer, 83, of Jakes Run Community, Fairview, WV died Monday, June 19, 2023 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.

          She was born October 30, 1939 at Core, a daughter of the late Charles Varner and Goldie Brewer Varner.

MILDRED W. RUBLE

        Mildred W. Ruble, 79, of Hundred, WV died Sunday, June 18, 2023 in WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale.

        She was born May 11, 1944 at Morgantown.

        Mrs. Ruble worked as a custodian for West Virginia University and she was a protestant by faith.

Ricky E. “Zeke” Hayes, 68, went to be with his Lord on June 9, 2023, at Friendship Village Health Care Facility, Tempe AZ.

BETTY DERBY

          Betty D. Derby, 72, of Littleton, WV died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her residence.

          She was born February 25, 1951 in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Allen Derby and Bettie Deloris Tanley Derby.

          Mrs. Derby was a homemaker and member of the Rice Ridge Community Church.

JAMES THOMAS, III

          James Thomas, 58, of Jakes Run died Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at his camp at Big Bear Lake.

          He was born January 8, 1965, a son of the late James (Jimmy) Thomas and Carol Thomas.

          Jamie retired from Cumberland Coal Mines in 2015. 

JOSEPH J. LOUNSBURY

          Joseph J. Lounsbury, 72, of Littleton, WV died May 30, 2023 in Easton, Washington.

          He was born September 7, 1950 in Hialeah, Florida, a son of the late Harold Lounsbury and Johanna Riccitelli Stewart.

          Joe was a truck driver and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

RONALD HOWARD RUSH

          Ronald Howard Rush, 76, of Kodol Community, Wileyville, WV died Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at his residence.

          He was born April 12, 1947 in New Martinsvillle, a son of the late John Howard Rush and Mary Arnett Rush.

DONALD C. GUESMAN

          Donald C. Guesman, 62, of Wadestown, WV died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at his residence.

          He was born June 15, 1960 at Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Harlan Guesman and Marily Mansfield Guesman.

          Don worked in the oil and gas industry all his life.  He worked as a well tender and as a foreman.

RITA LEAHY

          Rita Jean Leahy, 76, of Wadestown, WV died Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her residence.

          She was born November 5, 1946 at Nashville, TN, a daughter of the late Russel Griffin and Charlot Dearborn Cardinal Griffin.

          Mrs. Leahy worked as an artist and she owned her own business for several years.
